General Problems:

問﹕ 為什麼TEOnline只支援Microsoft Internet Explorer而不支援其他瀏覽器﹐如Netscape﹖
答﹕

TEOnline是以Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0為指標而寫的。
市面上有很多不同種類及版本的瀏覽器﹐它們所採用的編碼和文件格式參差不齊。所以能在Microsoft Internet Explorer上顯示的網頁﹐未必能在其他瀏覽器上顯示。

Q: Why does TEOnline only support Microsoft Internet Explorer and not the other browsers, such as Netscape?
A:

TEOnline is written specifically for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and above.
There are many different browsers available on the market, but they do not all support the same encoding or document format. As a result, what can be viewed perfectly on Microsoft Internet Explorer may not be displayed properly on other browsers.


問﹕ TEOnline不支援其他瀏覽器﹐但我仍可用其他瀏覽器使用TEOnline嗎﹖
答﹕

可以﹐不過可能會導致不尋常的問題或令網頁無法正常顯示。我們不會對這方面的問題提供援助。

Q: Can I still use other browsers to access TEOnline, eventhough they are not supported?
A:

Yes, but doing so may result in error or pages not being displayed correctly. We cannot provide supports for such error.


問﹕ 我的中文不太好﹐看中文有難處﹐你們可否提供英文版內容及錄像﹖
答﹕

現時所有科目內容及錄像而中文為主﹐我們並沒打算加英文版。

Q: I have trouble with reading Chinese, will the course's contents be available in English as well?
A:

Currently, all contents are Chinese-based, there is no plan to make our course's contents available in English.


問﹕ 我不能正常觀看科目內容及錄像﹐你們可不可以提供光碟服務﹖
答﹕

TEOnline是一個訂閱模式的服務﹐所以不會提供光碟服務。
請在報讀科目前﹐確定你的電腦能順利觀看本網站的「試讀版」。

Q: I have difficulty viewing the course's contents/videos, can you provide them on CDs instead?
A:

TEOnline is a online subscription service and we do not provide hardcopies material such as CDs.
Please make sure your computer is able to access and playback the videos by testing our Trial version before signing up.


問﹕ 我沒時間觀看科目內容及錄像﹐我可不可以把它們儲存代日後觀看﹖
答﹕

不可﹐TEOnline是一個訂閱模式的服務﹐科目內容及錄像只能在訂閱有效期中觀看。有效期是從你第一次觀看科目內容時開始計算的。

Q: I do not have time to watch the video or read the notes, can I save the files for later use?
A:

No, you cannot. TEOnline is a subscription service, and the course's contents can only be viewed during subscription time. The subscription time will commence only after the first time you view any lesson.


問﹕ 我沒時間觀看科目內容及錄像﹐我可不可以把我的帳號凍結﹐暫停訂閱時間﹐代日後觀看﹖
答﹕ 對不起﹐TEOnline不設帳號凍結服務。
Q: I do not have time to watch the video or read the notes, can I suspend my account temporary, so that I can restart it later when I have time?
A:

We regret that we cannot provide such suspension to account once it has been activated.



系統及技術問題﹕
System and Technical Problems:

問﹕ 我不能正常觀看試讀版的錄像﹐當我報讀並繳費後﹐我是否便能夠觀看正式版的錄像﹖
答﹕

若你的電腦不能觀看試讀版﹐那表示你也不可能觀看正式版。
試讀版的其中一個用處是提供一個途徑來測試你的電腦是否能正確地顯示正式版的內容。
你有責任在報讀前確定你的電腦能觀看試讀版﹐並接受其播放質數。我們沒法保證你能觀看正式版﹐若你的電腦不乎合電腦及上網要求

Q: I cannot view the Trial videos successfully, but will I be able to view the actual course video after I have signed up and paid for the course?
A:

If you are unable to play the Trial videos, chances are you will NOT be able to play the actual course video using the same computer.
The Trial videos are there to help you test whether or not your computer can provide a satisfactory playback of our course's contents.
It is your responsibility to make sure your computer can view the Trial contents and that you are satisfied with its performance BEFORE signing up, as we cannot guarantee the successful playback of our contents on your computer if you don't meet the course requirements.

答﹕

我們會盡我們可能做到的範圍內協助你。但是這不是我們正式的服務﹐而是以個別個案私人處理的。我們無法協助所有有關或無關本課程的個人電腦問題。

Q: Would you be able to help me fix and setup my computer so I can access your course's contents?
A:

We would like to help as much as we can in enabling you to access our course's contents. However, it is NOT technically our job to provide such service; we do it out of goodwill and our own free time. We cannot assist you in diagnosing your every computer problems that may or may not be related to our courses.


問﹕ 我的電腦不能正確顯示繁體中文﹐怎麼辦﹖
答﹕

Internet Explorer內置更改文字編碼功能﹐可把編碼改為繁體中文﹕
- 檢視->編碼->繁體中文(Big5)
若你是使用舊版Windows﹐你可能有需要下載安裝繁體中文支援

Q: I cannot view Chinese characters properly on my computer. How do I fix that?
A:

Internet Explorer has a built-in option to change the displayed codepage to Chinese Traditional (Big5):
- View->Encoding->Chinese Traditional (Big5)
You may need to download and install the Chinese (Traditional) Language Support patch from Microsoft if you are using older versions of Windows or Internet explorer.


問﹕ 我只看到“怪獸”字﹐而不是正常的字﹐你們那邊的系統有問題嗎﹖
答﹕

那些其實是中文字﹐但你的電腦/瀏覽器未能正確顯示。 請確定你的系統支援中文顯示﹐並更改瀏覽器的文字編碼﹕
- 檢視->編碼->繁體中文(Big5)

Q: Weird gibberish and symbols appears instead of legible text, is there something wrong with your system?
A:

Those are Chinese texts. However, your computer/browser either do not support Chinese texts, or failed to recognise them. Make sure your system can view Chinese texts, and set your browser's codepage by:
- View->Encoding->Chinese Traditional (Big5)



帳號及登入問題﹕
Account and Login Problems:

問﹕ 我已成功報讀科目﹐並收到我的登入名稱及密碼﹐但為什麼我仍只能看到第一講的內容﹖
答﹕

你的信用卡資料還在被銀行處理的過程中。當銀行處理完畢通知學院﹐你便可觀看該科目的全部內容。

Q: I have signed up for the course and received my login name and password, but why can I only access the first lesson?
A: Your credit card payment is still being processed by the bank. You will be able to access the full course contents once the bank has finished processing your payment and notified us.

問﹕ 我已成功報讀科目﹐並收到我的登入名稱及密碼﹐但我沒有學生編號﹐是系統出現問題嗎﹖
答﹕

你的信用卡資料還在被銀行處理的過程中。當銀行處理完畢通知學院﹐你便會給予學生編號。

Q: I have signed up for the course and received my login name and password, but I don't seem to have a student ID number. Is there some kind of error?
A: Your credit card payment is still being processed by the bank. You will be given a student ID number once the bank has finished processing your payment and notified us.


科目筆記及錄像播放問題﹕
Course Notes and Video Playback Problems:

答﹕

請按〔報讀科目->現在報讀科目〕﹐開啟可觀看科目列﹐ 再按〔科目名稱〕下的連結開啟科目視窗。

Q: I have successfully login, but cannot find where the course's contents are. Where can I find them?
A:

Click on 〔報讀科目->現在報讀科目〕to open up the available courses list, then click on the course title below the heading〔科目名稱〕to open up the course's contents window.


問﹕ 我按了科目名稱的連結﹐但甚麼也沒發生(應該會開啟新視窗的)﹐哪裡有問題﹖
答﹕

我們有利用Javascript的popup工能來開啟科目內容視窗。
請確認你的瀏覽器有開啟Javascript﹐並沒有在系統上安裝任何反跳出式視窗程式。
在 Internet Explorer 6.1開啟Javascript﹐請按﹕
- 工具->網際網路選項->安全性->自訂層級->指令碼處理->Active scripting->啟用

Q: I have clicked on the course link, but nothing happens (ie, no windows popup). What is the problem?
A:

We have used Javascipt's popup function to open the course's contents window.
Make sure you have set your browser to Javascript Enabled and have NO popup killer application installed.
To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 6.1, please select:
- Tools->Internet Options->Security->Custom Level...->Scripting->Active scripting->Enable


問﹕ 我成功開啟了科目內容視窗(media player在左﹐筆記在右)﹐但錄像不能播放。
答﹕

請確認你的電腦已安裝最新的Microsoft Windows Media Player和正常運作的音效卡。
科目內容視窗中的media player是你電腦已裝的Microsoft Windows Media Player﹐而並非外加播放程式。所以你電腦的設定會影響你能否成功播放錄像。
若你沒有按裝音效卡﹐media player有可能會拒絕播放錄像﹐甚至會把視窗關閉。

Q: I can open the course's contents window successfully (with a media player on the left and the notes on the right), but the video will not play.
A:

Make sure you have the latest version Microsoft Windows Media Player installed, and that you have a sound card installed and recognised by your system.
The embedded player is the Microsoft Windows Media Player installed on your computer and not a seperate player, so it depends largely on your computer's configurations.
If your computer does not have a working sound card installed, the media player may refuse to open/play the video (black box) or even close the windows entirely.


問﹕ 錄像播放質素很差﹐還常常中斷﹐有什麼問題﹖
答﹕ 有很多因素會影響錄像播放的質素﹕
  • 你使用哪間寬頻服務公司﹖使用哪種寬頻技術(cable/ADSL/其他)﹖速度有多快﹖
    若你不清楚﹐你可以向你的寬頻服務公司查詢。你上網的速度對錄像播放有很大的影響。
  • 你的電腦組合是怎樣(中央處理器, 記憶體, 顯示卡﹐等)﹖
    安裝了什麼什麼版本的軟件(Windows, media player, anti-virus, firewall, 等)﹖
  • 你能順利播放「試讀版」嗎﹖有沒有同樣的問題﹖
  • 你能收看其他在香港美國的網上錄像服務嗎﹖
Q: The playback quality of the video is really bad and it constantly stops. What is wrong with it?
A: There are many factors that affect the playback quality of videos online.
  • What broadband Internet service are you using? What technology does it employ (cable/ADSL/others)? What speed is it? You might need to ask your ISP if you're unsure. Your Internet connection speed affect greatly on the quality of the video playback.
  • What computer configuration do you have (CPU, RAM, Video Card, etc)? What software have you installed and what version (Windows, media player, anti-virus, firewall, etc)?
  • Can you play the Trial videos? Do you experience similar problems?
  • Can you play any other online videos from Hong Kong or US?

問﹕ 錄像的音量太低﹐我什麼也聽不到﹐有辦法解決這問題嗎﹖
答﹕

若有需要﹐開啟你喇叭的電源。確定你的電腦音量沒被設至“靜音”或太低的音量。
音量控制可由雙擊右下角的喇叭圖示開啟﹐或經﹕
- 開始->程式集->附屬應用程式->娛樂->音量控制 (不同Windows版本可能有別)

我們的錄像音量是比一些其他網上錄像較低﹐原因是因為他們特別加大擴音。我們錄像的音量在我們及大部份報讀人士的電腦上給一般可聽程度。
因不同電腦的發聲音量有異﹐我們不能保證在你的電腦上的錄像音量大小。若你有困難聆聽我們的錄像﹐我們建議你使用揚聲喇叭來加大音量。
你亦可以嘗試使用耳機﹐它們的發聲音量可能比較大。

Q: I cannot hear any sound from the video, the volume is too low. Can you fix that?
A:

Make sure your speakers have been turned on if required. Check to see if your computer's sound setting is not set to "Mute", and that the volume bar is not set at minimum.
You can access the Volume Control by double clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right tray area, or by:
- Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Volume Control (may vary depends on Windows version)

The volume of our videos is slightly lower compared to some of the other videos available on the Internet, as they have been amplified to extra loud. Our videos' volume is of audible level on our computers and most of our clients' computers.
As each computer's volume output is different, we cannot guarantee our video would be loud enough on your computer. If you are having difficulties hearing our videos, we suggest you to use power-amplified speakers to boost the volume.
Also, you may try to use headphones instead, as the volume appears to be louder with them.
